Hiking & Backpacking: The Swan Valley offers a truly unique opportunity to pursue outdoor adventures. The area offers access to the Mission Mountain Wilderness and the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Together they offer an abundance of hiking and backing opportunities to numerous lakes, streams and peaks. The numerous trails allow for all levels of hiking from day hikes to grueling scrambles. Camping: Essentially unlimited basic camping can be found in the Swan Valley. Both Federal and State campgrounds can be found. There is a limitation on full service hookups.

Fishing: The myriad of mountain lakes, streams and rivers in the Swan Valley make the area a truly unique fishing experience. With such a variety, an angler can tailor their ideal fishing vacation to be truly unique. The area is truly trout fishing at its finest. License can be obtained for varying seasons and stays.

Horse Activities: The Swan Valley allows for a true chance to escape and ride in the wild. There are several trails about the area and guided trips in the area.

Shooting Sports: The Valley offers a rural escape and a chance for one to take up or further explore the art of shooting. One can explore the area on their own or enlist the services of an outfitter for their next hunting trip. License can be found for a season of your choosing.

Snow Sports: Whether it is snowshoeing, cross country skiing, sled dog running or snowmobiling, one can find a place tease their wild side. To the south, Seeley Lake offers an intricate trail system and miles of groomed trials.

Water Sports: The variety of lakes in the Swan Valley offer many forms of water recreation. Whether it is fishing, canoeing, floating, boating, kayaking, swimming or more, one can find a place to splash. Montana boating and fishing regulations apply.
